The teams were unveiled by the BCCI's selection committee after careful deliberation and consideration of player performances.
The Test squad will be led by opening batsman Rohit Sharma. Sharma's consistent performances as a batsman and his leadership skills in limited-overs cricket have earned him the responsibility of leading the Test side.
Joining Sharma at the top of the order will be Shubman Gill, who has shown great promise in his early international career. Gill will be accompanied by Ruturaj Gaikwad, another talented young batsman who has impressed with his performances in domestic cricket.
The middle order will feature the seasoned duo of Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane, with the latter assuming the role of vice-captain. Kohli, one of the finest batsmen in the world, will look to make a significant impact in the series and lead the team with his experience.

Jaiswal, a highly regarded left-handed batsman, and Kishan, a wicketkeeper-batsman, will be eager to make their mark in international cricket.
In the spin department, the team boasts the services of the experienced duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Both players are renowned for their ability to trouble batsmen with their guile and variations. They will be complemented by the left-arm spin of Axar Patel.
The pace bowling attack will be spearheaded by Shardul Thakur, who has consistently impressed with his ability to pick wickets in crucial situations. Mohd. Siraj, who has been in fine form recently, will provide support to Thakur. The squad also features the likes of Jaydev Unadkat and Navdeep Saini, who will be vying for a spot in the playing XI.
The BCCI has also named KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan as the wicketkeeper options for the Test series, providing depth and flexibility to the team.
