 * The conference is organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs in partnership with other ministries and agencies, including MeitY, MEA, NSCS, DoT, CBI, Interpol, and UNODC.
 * The conference aims to forge a global partnership and develop an information sharing framework for cybersecurity.

Gurugram, Haryana: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah will deliver the opening address at the "G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the age of NFTs, AI, and Metaverse" on July 13th, 2023. The event will take place in Gurugram and will bring together participants from G20 countries, special invitee countries, international bodies, and technology leaders.

During the conference, Shri Amit Shah will also launch the Cyber Volunteer Squads, comprising volunteers from premier educational institutions in India. These squads will play a crucial role in raising cyber awareness, identifying harmful content, and providing technical assistance to ensure cyber safety in society. Additionally, an exhibition will be inaugurated, showcasing national and international products and services related to information and communication technology.

The conference aims to establish a global partnership to build a secure cyberspace and prioritize cybersecurity concerns. With the rapid development of technologies like Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Metaverse, cybersecurity has become an essential aspect of national and international security.

The discussions at the conference will focus on countering cybercrime, safeguarding critical information infrastructure, and sharing information among participating nations. Experts and guest speakers from various sectors, including legal, academia, training institutions, finance, technology, and cyber forensics, will share their insights and expertise.

The two-day conference will feature six technical sessions covering topics such as internet governance, securing digital public infrastructure, legal and regulatory frameworks for extended reality and digital ownership, challenges and opportunities of AI, cryptocurrency and darknet issues, and international cooperation in combating ICT-related crimes.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is leading the organization of the conference, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), Department of Telecom (DoT), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Interpol, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Several esteemed institutions, including Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Data Security Council of India (DSCI), National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, are also partners in the event.

The conference will conclude on July 14th with a valedictory session addressed by the Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav.
