Emphasizing unity and solidarity, he expressed the nation's collective support for the people of the Northeastern state.

"Manipur's citizens have the unwavering support of the entire nation. The path to resolution lies in peace. The collaborative efforts of the Central and Manipur governments are dedicated to reinstating harmony in the region," said PM Modi.

Highlighting India's status as a global leader in terms of population, the Prime Minister underscored the nation's boundless potential and opportunities. "Our nation is vast, offering limitless prospects. On this Independence Day, the 1.4 billion members of my extended family unite in celebration," he affirmed.

Paying homage to the valiant heroes of India's freedom struggle, PM Modi extolled the devotion displayed by citizens within and outside the country. He extended heartfelt felicitations to all on this significant occasion.

In the early hours of the morning, PM Modi unfurled the national flag, marking the commencement of the 77th Independence Day festivities. He also conveyed his greetings to fellow countrymen via 'X,' previously known as Twitter.

"Happy Independence Day! Let us honor our distinguished freedom fighters and recommit ourselves to realizing their aspirations. Jai Hind!," wrote the Prime Minister on his official handle.

Upon his arrival at the Red Fort, PM Modi received a warm welcome from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Raksha Rajya Mantri Ajay Bhatt, and Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane.

This year's Independence Day celebrations serve as the culmination of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' initiative, launched by PM Modi on March 12, 2021, at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This monumental celebration ushers the nation into the 'Amrit Kaal,' symbolizing a period of renewal and transformation.
