Kejriwal's Stance:Arvind Kejriwal Defends AAP's Integrity Amidst Sanjay Singh's Arrest
New Delhi, India October 04 2023 - In a major development, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh has been arrested in connection with a liquor scam. The arrest followed an extensive 10-hour raid carried out by enforcement authorities.

AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, after meeting with Sanjay Singh's family, reiterated the party's commitment to honesty in politics. He stated, "AAP is a staunch honest party. We all know that the path of honesty is difficult. If we become dishonest like them, then all our problems will be resolved... More than 1,000 raids have been conducted in this liquor case, and several people have been arrested, but they are not able to recover even a single penny... PM Modi is involved in corruption from tip to toe. I think, after independence, PM Modi is the most corrupt PM of our country."

The arrest of AAP MP Sanjay Singh has sparked reactions from across the political spectrum. Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav commented on the situation, saying, "It is not a new thing. The sad thing is that the people who have been elected by the people are doing injustice... Unemployment and inflation have increased in the last 10 years, and they (BJP) did not fulfill the promises they made in their election manifesto... All the opposition parties are opposing it. Not only opposition leaders but BJP leaders are also saying that it is wrong."

Sanjay Singh's wife expressed her dismay over the arrest, saying, "They questioned and searched the house, computer, and documents but did not find anything. There was pressure upon them (ED officials) to arrest him, and they arrested him. They (ED) did not give us any reason. We all are with him. He has been arrested in a fake case."

This development adds Sanjay Singh's name to a list of AAP leaders who have faced legal issues:

1. Manish Sisodia
