New Delhi: In a recent press conference, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena made startling allegations against the police under the leadership of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's Congress government in Rajasthan. Meena claimed that there was a lack of intent to apprehend Suresh Dhaka, a key suspect in the question paper leak case. According to Meena, the apprehension of Dhaka would expose the involvement of several Congress MLAs and a group of ministers.
Meena took his allegations a step further with a dramatic revelation at Jaipur's Ganpati Plaza, a commercial hub on MI Road. He asserted that private lockers within the building concealed an astonishing hoard of Rs 500 crore in cash and 50 kilograms of gold. Meena alleged that individuals with close ties to the ruling Congress government were behind this money, acquired through corruption, including the leaking of question papers.
Kirodi Lal Meena has been consistently holding press conferences to bring attention to various issues, such as government recruitment examination question paper leaks, which he believes were orchestrated with the participation of Congress leaders.
In addition to his accusations against the state government, Meena stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had conducted a raid on the residence of Dinesh Khodniya in Dungarpur. He claimed that Khodniya had close ties to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and had a role in the paper leak. Meena also alleged the involvement of a woman leader from the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) in the question paper leak case.
Sources within the ED confirmed the raid on Khodniya's residence, indicating that this action followed Meena's revelations. A joint team comprising ED officials and the Income Tax Department is currently investigating the private lockers at Ganpati Plaza to determine if any irregularities are present.
As of now, the Jalupura police station SHO Antim Sharma has stated that no FIR has been filed in relation to the lockers at Ganpati Plaza, but these allegations have stirred significant controversy and are expected to have wide-ranging implications in Rajasthan's political landscape.
