Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Richard Marles, expressed his admiration for India's hosting of the recent cricket tournament during the dialogue.
Marles conveyed, "It was an incredible privilege for me to be at the game last night. I thank India and commend India for the hosting of an incredible tournament over the last 6 weeks. It put cricket on display to the world. In a contemporary sense, the home of cricket now really is in India." He emphasized the shared love for cricket as a symbolic representation of the strong bond between the two nations.
During the same dialogue, India's Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, highlighted the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Australia. Singh stated, "Whether it is defence, trade, education, science and technology, or people-to-people ties, we continue to see an upward trajectory across all spheres of our bilateral cooperation."
