Simultaneously, the Indian Air Force has issued a tender to HAL for the procurement of 12 advanced Su-30MKI fighter jets. Defence sources reveal that these aircraft will be manufactured in India through a collaboration between HAL and Russian original equipment manufacturers.
Global Interest in Tejas:
PM Modi's emphasis on indigenous production aligns with India's growing presence in the global defence market.
