Uttarkashi, 29 November, 2023: In a monumental achievement, the Silkyara Tunnel rescue operation in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, has successfully concluded, bringing relief to the nation as 41 trapped workers are freed. The operation, marked by resilience and courage, faced numerous challenges but ultimately prevailed.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressing gratitude for the workers' bravery, announced a reward of Rs 1 Lakh for each rescued individual. Additionally, he pledged to rebuild the Baukhnag temple, emphasizing the government's commitment to restoring normalcy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the success of the rescue operation, commending the courage and perseverance of the trapped workers.
