ODISHA,10 December 2023: In a continuing operation that has entered its 5th day, the Income Tax Department has utilized currency counting machines during a raid on the premises of Boudh Distilleries Private Limited in Balangir, Odisha. The authorities have successfully seized a staggering amount exceeding Rs 200 Cr.
The investigation has extended to Baldev Sahu Infra Pvt Ltd, a company affiliated with Boudh Distilleries. Notably, this group company is associated with Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu. The ongoing probe is shedding light on potential financial intricacies and connections in the region.
