In a significant turn of events, the renowned YouTuber Manish Kashyap has been granted bail by the Patna High Court in two financial crime cases. The news was confirmed by Manish Kashyap's brother, who expressed joy following the court's decision. The announcement led to celebrations and the distribution of sweets among Kashyap's family and supporters in Bettiah.
In an emotional interview with the media, Karan Kashyap, Manish's brother, shared, "I cannot express how happy we are today." However, it is crucial to note that the formalities of the bail papers are yet to reach the jail, and Manish Kashyap's release awaits approvals from the Chennai and Madurai courts.
To facilitate Manish Kashyap's release, the Beur jail administration has written letters to the Madurai and Chennai courts. Notably, Manish Kashyap voluntarily surrendered on March 18 of this year in connection with a fake video case in Tamil Nadu.
Manish Kashyap faced challenges after a video purportedly showing the assault on Bihar laborers in Tamil Nadu went viral. The Tamil Nadu government took prompt action, with the then DGP Shailendra Babu posting a video on social media, raising doubts about the video's authenticity. Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit (EOU) also filed a report against Manish Kashyap in connection with the case.
The situation escalated, leading to Manish Kashyap's arrest. Upon the initiation of item seizure by Bettiah police from Manish's residence, he voluntarily surrendered at the local police station. The EOU team took charge, interrogating Manish before his transfer to jail.
The Tamil Nadu police team arrived in Patna, and on March 30, 2023, Manish Kashyap was taken on transit remand and left for Tamil Nadu. The bail granted by the Patna High Court opens a new chapter in Manish Kashyap's legal journey, with expectations building for his release as the formalities progress.
