Ayodhya Ceremony: Four Shankaracharyas, Congress Abstain from Upcoming Event

Shankaracharya Praises Ayodhya Ceremony, Embracing Positive Outlook
Supriya Shrinate, Chairperson of Social Media & Digital Platforms for the Congress party, has declared that the Congress leadership, along with the four Shankaracharyas, will not attend the Ayodhya event scheduled for January 22nd. This event, involving the pranpratishtha of the Ram Temple, will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief.

Shrinate emphasizes that the decision is not a refusal to visit Ayodhya but rather a choice to abstain from the specific ceremony. She accuses the event of being marred by "disgusting politics" and argues that it is wrong to politicize religious rituals. The statement raises questions about the intertwining of politics and religious ceremonies, sparking a debate over the Congress party's stance on the significant Ayodhya event.

Contrary to this, Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt, Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal, expresses positivity about the Ram Temple Pran Pratistha ceremony, stating that it will take place on January 22nd due to Lord Rama's blessings. He highlights the worship of the Yagyashala during the ceremony, with over 100 scholars conducting the 'puja' and 'havan.'

Saraswati Swamigal commends Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dedication to the development of pilgrimage places in India, citing the expansion of the premises of Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath temples. The contrasting positions of Congress and the Shankaracharya bring to the forefront the complex intersection of religion and politics surrounding the Ayodhya event.
