BJP Government Lauds Arrest of ISIS Leader: Significance in Battle Against Extremism
Assam, 20/ 03/24: In a notable development in the fight against terrorism, the Assam Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended Haris Farooqi, believed to be a top figure in ISIS operations within India, along with several accomplices. Farooqi, who had been evading law enforcement and was wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with multiple cases, was reportedly operating from Bangladesh before illegally entering India.
