Benguluru, 1 March, 24: In a shocking incident, Bengaluru's bustling Whitefield area was rocked by an explosion at the renowned Rameshwaram Cafe, leaving four individuals injured. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar confirmed the incident, labeling it as a "low-intensity blast" caused by a mysterious object left by an unidentified youth.
According to Shivakumar, the blast occurred approximately an hour after the youth placed a small bag inside the cafe premises. "About 10 people received injuries," he stated, emphasizing that swift action was taken with the formation of 7-8 investigative teams to probe all possible angles. Assuring citizens, Shivakumar urged residents of Bengaluru not to panic.
The explosion, which unfolded at one of Bengaluru's most frequented food joints, sparked immediate responses from police, medical, and forensic teams. Eyewitnesses reported chaos and panic following the blast, with authorities swiftly cordoning off the area for investigation.
