SP Pitamber Singh Kherwar Provides Insights into Ongoing Investigation
Jharkhand, 2 March, 24: In Dumka, Jharkhand, the recent alleged gangrape case involving a Spanish woman has stirred significant concern. Shedding light on the ongoing investigation, SP Pitamber Singh Kherwar  disclosed crucial details. He stated, "As the victims were speaking in Spanish, English, which we were not able to understand, we took them to the hospital where it was discovered that it is a case of gangrape of the woman." 

Incident unfolding at Kurumahat in the Hansdiha police station area, located approximately 300 kilometers from the state capital Ranchi, a tourist couple from Spain encountered a nightmarish ordeal on Friday evening. The couple, who had embarked on a journey from Bangladesh and were en route to Bihar and subsequently Nepal, had halted for the night at a makeshift tent in Dumka.

Kherwar further elaborated, "Based on the appearance they described, we have detained some people. With the help of the FSL team and CID, we will get the rest of the accused too." According to the SP, the victim had identified about 7 men involved in the crime, and as of now, the authorities have detained 3 of them.

This development underscores the seriousness with which law enforcement agencies are addressing the matter. The collaboration between different investigative units highlights the concerted effort to bring all perpetrators to justice.
