Tragic Incident: 10-Year-Old Dies After Consuming Birthday Cake

Girl Passes Away Shortly After Celebration
31 March, 24: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a 10-year-old girl tragically lost her life shortly after consuming a birthday cake, sending shockwaves through her family and the local community. The incident, which occurred at Patiala's Kanha Bakery, has sparked an intense investigation, with allegations of negligence and foul play swirling around the circumstances of the young girl's death.

According to reports, the family of the deceased girl has alleged that their daughter fell ill and subsequently passed away immediately after ingesting the birthday cake. Moreover, several other family members who partook in the celebration also fell ill, adding to the distress and anguish surrounding the incident. Subsequently, a case has been registered against the bakery shop owner under Sections 273 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

However, the investigation has taken a convoluted turn with discrepancies emerging regarding the bakery's identity and location. Initial inquiries revealed that there is no shop registered under the name "Cake Kanha" at the specified address in Patiala, suggesting the possibility of it being a cloud kitchen. Furthermore, an original receipt invoice indicated billing originating from Amritsar, not Patiala, adding to the confusion surrounding the bakery's operations.

In a puzzling twist, attempts to place an order from "Cake Kanha" redirected journalists to "India Bakers," raising further questions about the bakery's authenticity and transparency. Moreover, investigations into the provided contact number revealed associations with 'Prayash Rajawat' from 'Cake Fresh,' casting doubts on the bakery's identity and credibility. Despite these discrepancies, the Punjab Police have assured that a thorough investigation is underway, with action to be taken pending the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report.

In response to the tragedy, the Patiala police have named four individuals in connection with the incident, with a case under section 304 registered against Gurmeet Singh, Ranjeet, Pawan Mishra, and Vijay Kumar. While three workers at the bakery have been apprehended and produced in court, the owner of Kanha Bakery, Gurmeet Singh, remains at large and is yet to be arrested.

As the investigation unfolds and authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the young girl's untimely demise, the community remains gripped by grief and demands for justice for the tragic loss of life.
