Rajnath Singh Affirms Citizenship Rights Amidst Tamil Nadu Visit: Accuses Opposition of Misleading Public

Allegations Against Opposition: Singh Calls Out Congress and DMK for Spreading Confusion

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is currently in Tamil Nadu. On Monday, he stated that no Indian, regardless of their religion, will lose their citizenship due to the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). Singh accused the opposition Congress and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of creating confusion on this issue. During a roadshow, he asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always fulfilled its promises.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, in support of BJP candidate K.P. Ramalingam in Namakkal, addressed a public rally in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal, Tenkasi, and Nagapattinam. During the roadshow, he reiterated that the BJP has always implemented its promises, such as the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the abrogation of Article 370, and the termination of CAA. Rajnath Singh further stated, "We promised the Citizenship Act, and we have fulfilled it. I want to make it clear that no Indian – whether Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Parsi, or Jew – will lose their citizenship." He accused the opposition of spreading confusion on this issue.

"We have put an end to triple talaq"

Rajnath Singh said on the abolition of triple talaq, "The mothers and sisters of any religion are our mothers and sisters. If there is any injustice against our mothers and sisters of any religion, we stand with them, and we have proven this by ending triple talaq." Rajnath Singh claimed, "In this matter, India will be among the top three countries by 2027."

During the roadshow, Rajnath Singh criticized the BJP and AIADMK, saying that the Indian Alliance is insulting Hinduism. He said that they want to destroy the power that believes in Hinduism. "In Tamil Nadu, the power is Kanchi Kamakshi and the power is Meenakshi of Madurai." Rajnath Singh questioned, "Does the Congress and DMK's INDI alliance want to say that they will destroy women power and mother power? The people of the INDI alliance repeatedly insult Hinduism."

"Udhayanidhi Stalin insulted Hinduism"

Singh said that Udhayanidhi Stalin also insulted Hinduism. Udhayanidhi had said that Sanatan Dharma is like dengue and malaria spread by mosquitoes and it needs to be eradicated. Shouldn't the DMK apologize for such statements?

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, "The Indian Alliance is not stable. Even before the elections begin, they are fighting among themselves. The only reason for their unity is power. We say nation first, and they say family first." We have a vision and mission for India's development, and we have a leader like Modi. They do not.
