Deoria, Uttar Pradesh — The intense heat during the Lok Sabha elections is creating significant challenges for political leaders. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi highlighted this struggle at a rally in Deoria when he poured a bottle of water over his head to combat the extreme temperatures. As he addressed the crowd, he paused to drink water, commenting, "It's quite hot," before emptying the bottle over his head.

Severe Heatwave Across Northwestern States

Northwestern states are experiencing temperatures about 8 degrees Celsius above normal, making it difficult for leaders participating in the seventh and final phase of the election campaign. Leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are frequently seen advising people on how to stay safe in the heat.

"Narendra Modi is Not Biological," Says Rahul Gandhi

At the Deoria rally, Rahul Gandhi took a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, responding to his previous 'Paramatma' (Supreme Being) statement. Gandhi remarked, "Everyone else is biological, but Narendra Modi is not. He has been sent by his 'Paramatma' to help Ambani and Adani, not the farmers and laborers."

Rahul Gandhi Criticizes the Media

Gandhi also criticized the media, saying, "If 'Paramatma' had sent Modi, he would be helping the poor and farmers. But Modi's 'Paramatma' says help Ambani and Adani. Some media people sit with Modi and ask absurd questions like, 'How do you eat mangoes? Washed or peeled?' And Modi replies, 'I do nothing; everything happens on its own.'"

He further added, "If 'Paramatma' had sent him, he would be told to help the weakest people in India, the farmers, the poor. But Modi's 'Paramatma' tells him to help Ambani and Adani, to waive off their ₹16 lakh crore debt. This is Modi's 'Paramatma'."

Election Campaigns Under Scorching Heat

The extreme heat has made election rallies challenging. Leaders are taking extra steps to cope with the heat while continuing their campaigns. They are also advising the public on ways to stay cool and safe, ensuring the election process proceeds smoothly despite the high temperatures.
