Uttar Pradesh, June 3, 2024 – Preparations are in full swing for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Uttar Pradesh. According to DGP Prashant Kumar, the counting will take place at 81 centers across 75 districts. Some districts have two counting centers to ensure efficient processing of the votes.
Security is a top priority, and comprehensive arrangements have been made. The force deployment follows a three-tier system based on the Election Commission of India's guidelines. The innermost security layer will be managed by the Central Security Force, the middle layer by the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and the outermost layer by the local police.
The seven-phase elections in Uttar Pradesh were conducted smoothly, without any incidents of electoral violence. DGP Prashant Kumar highlighted the peaceful and fair nature of the elections, crediting the thorough security measures in place.
