Gandhinagar, Gujarat – Federico Salas, the Mexican Ambassador to India, underscored the flourishing relationship between Mexico and India during his visit to Gandhinagar. Speaking on the sidelines of a significant training initiative, Ambassador Salas emphasized the mutual benefits derived from collaborations like these.
"We have a very good and expanding relationship with India," Ambassador Salas remarked. "Initiatives such as this training program, where Mexican police officials learn from their Indian counterparts, exemplify our strong people-to-people connections. This contributes significantly to enhancing our bilateral ties."
Highlighting Mexico's pivotal role as India's main trading partner in Latin America, Ambassador Salas emphasized that the relationship extends beyond commerce. "We collaborate in diverse sectors including space, health, electro-mobility, and foster exchanges in academics and culture," he added.
The training program, hosted at the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, saw active participation from Mexican police officials. Among them was M. Olmos. A, who expressed satisfaction with the specialized training received over the past 15 days. "We have gained valuable insights into best policing practices that will benefit law enforcement efforts back in Mexico," Officer Olmos shared.
The initiative underscores India's commitment to strengthening international partnerships through knowledge exchange and capacity-building programs.
